Princess Stéphanie, Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg gave birth to a son on Monday, 27 March 2023, at 10.04 am.
The little prince, who will be named François Henri Luis Marie Guillaume, was born in the Maternité Grand-Duchesse Charlotte in Luxembourg and weighed in at 3.575kg (about 7 pounds 14 ounces) and measured 53 cm (21 inches) in length.
A statement from the Grand Ducal Court says ‘Princess Stéphanie and her child are both healthy and well.’
The Hereditary Grand Duke, Hereditary Grand Duchess and brother Prince Charles ‘are looking forward to introducing Prince François to you’.
A 21-gun salute will be fired from the Fetschenhaff.
