Buckingham Palace released the first official portrait on Monday, 8 May 2023, of King Charles III following his Coronation.

Hugo Burnand took the photograph of King Charles at Buckingham Palace following the Coronation and appeared on the balcony with Queen Camilla and working members of the Royal Family on Saturday, 6 May.

King Charles is wearing the Imperial State Crown whilst he holds the Sovereign’s Orb and the Sovereign’s Sceptre with Cross which holds the Cullinan I diamond.
